Community schools as an effective school improvement strategy. 

 

Talks about how schools that work closely with their communities help students succeed. That when schools provide support beyond academics, like health services and after scchool programs, then the Students are more likely to do better. Also says that community schools focus on things like family involvement and strong relationships between teachers and stusnrs. They found that these schools improved attendance, behavior, and academic performance, especially for students in low income areas. This shows that community support plays a big role in helping stunts succeed.

Talks about how family and community involvement affects stundents. Explains how whne parents are involved in their child’s education, students tend to get better grades, attend school and exhibit better behavior. Students who are struggling benefit the most from strong support systems at home and their community. Shows that education is not just the responsibility of teachers but also of families.

This is about how social connections affect a persons health. The study looked at a large number of people and found that people with stronger relationships are more likely to live longer. It explains that having people to rely on can improve both mental and physical health. Also suggests that social connection that social connection can be just as important as exercising or dieting. Showing that community is important not just for social reasons but overall health,survival

Speaks about how these schools provide services like mental health support, nutrition programs, and access to resources for families. It also talks about that community schools help build trust and connections between people, which leads to a stronger community. This can help can help improve outcomes for students and their neighborhood.  

 

Effects of Baltimore’s Safe Streets Program on Gun Violence” 

Focuses on how community based programs can reduce crime. Explains that workers in Baltimore build relationships with people in high risk areas and help stop conflicts before they escalate. They found that in some neighborhoods, this program led to a decrease in shootings and homicides. Also shows how community involvement is important in creating safer environment. This proves that when communities come together and work together they can help reduce violence and improve safety.
